Coset representatives

One representative from each coset in the left cosets decomposition of the supergroup with respect to the structure's space group is given in Coset representatives. The representatives of the cosets correspond to the additional symmetry operations that "appear" in the supergroup, transformed to the basis of the group.

A structure is considered as pseudosymmetric for the given supergroup if it is pseudosymmetric for each of the representatives of the cosets.

If the structure has polar symmetry and the supergroup is non polar, the representatives of the cosets will contain continuous parameter(s) related with the fact that the position of the origin in the polar group is not fixed. The value(s) of the parameter(s) is optimized in order to find the one corresponding to the minimal distortion of the structure.
