PSEUDO - a Program for a Pseudosymmetry Search

Online Help - Input Data

Step 3: Check of the data

The structure data will be checked, and all of the orbits in the unit cell with respect to the conventional setting will be shown. At this step a Wyckoff position is assigned to each orbit.

If you want to change some of the structure data, use the [Back] button of your browser.

It is possible that some error occurs during the check of the data. If so, the error message is shown which explains where is the problem. Normally, the problems are related with the consistence of the cell data with the crystal class of the space group of the structure, or with the atomic coordinates.

If you load the structure data from a file, please be sure that the file is structured as explained in the previous section. It is possible that the data is not read correctly if the format of the file is changed.

If you want to search for a pseudosymmetry among the minimal supergroups of the structure's space group click on [Minimal Supergroups]. Otherwise, if you want to check a specific supergroup click on [Supergroup] button.
