Bilbao Crystallographic Server IDENTIFY MAGNETIC GROUP |
Given a set of symmetry operations in an arbitrary setting, this program identifies the magnetic space group (Shubnikov group) generated by the set of operations and calculates a transformation matrix to a standard or reference (default) setting. The set of operations must be introduced as in the following example:
x+1/2,y+1/2,z,1
-y+1/3,x+1/4,z+1/4,-1
Once the space group has been determined and a transformation matrix has been obtained, the user can check whether an alternative transformation matrix is also valid.
The program also gives the set of symmetry operations of the magnetic space group in the setting of the introduced elements.
